Why I am Running for Mayor of Opelousas
I grew up in the Brickyard neighborhood of Opelousas. In 1986, I relocated to California for work. While I was away, I returned home two or three times a year and watched our city drifting. When I moved back six years ago, things continued to get considerably worse. I gained leadership experience during my time away and simply could not continue to sit on the sidelines anymore. So, I decided to run for Mayor to change the future of Opelousas with the help of the residents.
My Experience and Qualifications
I possess a unique combination of large-scale administrative experience, union leadership, and direct expertise in public compliance. These skills make me the best person to lead Opelousas and address critical issues such as eliminating political favoritism and ensuring equal enforcement. I am also equipped to effectively manage infrastructure and the city's finances, advocate for workers, and lead people in executing hands-on community renewal.
My vision for Opelousas in four years
In four years as your Mayor, we will complete major infrastructure overhauls and reveal a thriving, self-sustaining city economy built for the next generation. We will build a safer, stronger community by protecting every single resident, from our youngest to our most vulnerable citizens. My commitment is to absolute transparency, strict fiscal responsibility, economic growth, and safe, stronger communities for all.
